Full-time Singapore · hybrid Reports to founders

Marketing Executive

You'll own the marketing engine — Aphyx's own and our clients'. Weekly briefings, blog cadence, content for client portals, paid-search ad copy, basic dashboard reporting. You don't need to be a strategist on day one. You need to be a fast writer with a head for numbers and a low tolerance for fluff.

What you'll own

  • Weekly briefings. Research + draft Aphyx's Monday briefing — Singapore SME P&L pressure, retail and F&B intel, hiring shifts. Voice is Morning Brew warmth meets FT terseness.
  • Client content. Edit AI-drafted SEO articles for 8–12 retainer clients each month. Make sure every claim is cited. Make sure the visuals are real, not HTML shapes.
  • Paid-search support. Write Google Ads ad copy and landing-page revisions for the client SEM accounts we manage. You'll work from the SEM playbook, not invent the strategy.
  • Reporting. Pull monthly SEO and traffic dashboards through the admin portal. Spot the trend, write the two-line narrative, push it to the client.
  • Social. Aphyx LinkedIn presence + a few client accounts. Two posts a week, founder-voice, no engagement-bait carousels.

What we're looking for

  • Writes fast and tight. You can turn a brief into a publishable 600-word draft in under two hours.
  • Comfortable with numbers. You won't flinch at a GA4 dashboard, a Semrush export, or a P&L line. You don't need to be an analyst.
  • SG-native context. You know the difference between an HDB shop and a Tanjong Pagar SaaS, and you'd write differently for each.
  • Curious about AI tooling. Half of our content workflow runs through ChatGPT, Claude, and Gemini. You should be excited to push those further, not scared of them.

What success looks like at 90 days

  • Briefings ship on schedule, every Monday, with the right voice.
  • Client content backlog is at zero. Monthly portal entries land on time for every retainer.
  • You've identified at least three things in our marketing process worth automating, and shipped one of them.
Contractor · commission-only Singapore-based · fully remote Self-directed

Sales Executive CONTRACTOR · 100% COMMISSION

You close monthly-recurring web and SEO/SEM retainers for Singapore SMEs. Your call on lead sourcing — work the warm inbound pipeline we surface in your admin dashboard, self-source via cold WhatsApp / calls / your own network, or mix both. This is a commission-only contractor engagement — uncapped, with a month-1 bonus and a recurring share that compounds as your book grows. No cap, no quota, no draw, no clawback. Built for closers who want to own their book AND their day.

What you'll own

  • Your pipeline, your way. Warm inbound is available — every form submission, WhatsApp ping, and discovery enquiry appears in your admin dashboard. Or self-source cold via your own network, WhatsApp outreach, walk-ins. We don't dictate the mix.
  • Discovery + close. Run the 30-min growth call we promise on /grow — live funnel audit, three concrete fixes, then convert into a paid audit or retainer. Whether you do 1 a week or 10, that's your call.
  • Account growth. Existing retainers earn recurring for you. Up-tier the ones where the data justifies it — every uplift adds to your recurring book.
  • Pipeline visibility. The admin portal pipeline view is yours. Stages, touches, status — you log it so future-you (and we) can see what's working.
  • Optional feedback loop. If you want a weekly chat with the founders about deals lost / pricing friction / product gaps, we'll make time. Not required, but the reps who do it find their book grows faster because we fix things together.

What we're looking for

  • Hungry for commission. You see uncapped upside as the feature, not the risk. You've worked commission-only or heavy-variable before, or you've wanted to. A base salary feels like a ceiling to you.
  • Consultative, not closer. SG SME owners can smell a hard sell from a kilometre. You sell by being useful in the first call, not by chasing the contract.
  • Comfortable with numbers. You can talk through a client's GA4 dashboard, explain what their cost-per-lead means, and tell them whether their funnel is the problem.
  • WhatsApp-fluent. Most of our buyers prefer WhatsApp to email. You should too. Voice notes, not email signatures.
  • SG-native context. You've sold to or worked with Singapore SMEs before — F&B owners, clinic operators, retail, services. You know how they make decisions.

What good looks like at 90 days

Benchmarks for self-reflection, not quotas — you're a contractor, no minimums apply.

  • You've built a habit of fast inbound response (under 24h to first reply) because faster replies close.
  • Conversion rate from discovery call to paid audit settles above ~35%.
  • You've up-tiered at least 3 existing retainers based on actual usage data — not pressure tactics.
  • Your recurring book is starting to compound — second-month commissions are noticeably larger than first.

How this role actually works

This is a self-directed contractor engagement, not employment.

You work from wherever you want, on whatever hours suit you. You bring your own laptop and phone. You decide whether to work the warm inbound prospects we surface in your admin dashboard, or self-source via your own network and cold outreach, or mix both.

You invoice us monthly for commission earned. No CPF, no paid leave, no sick leave — when you close, you earn; when you don't, you don't. No quota, no cap, no draw, no clawback.

The trade-off: full autonomy, uncapped earnings, no one looking over your shoulder. If you want a salaried desk job with predictable income, this isn't it. If you want to own your book and your day, it is.

Why work here

The honest pitch.

We're a small founder-led studio in Singapore — not a brand-name agency, not a fast-growth startup with 200 people and a foosball table. Here's what that means.

01

You'll own real outcomes

No project lead between you and the client. The retention number is yours. The pipeline conversion rate is yours. If something works or breaks, it's because of decisions you made.

02

Modern stack, ambitious work

We ship AI-engineered web products for SG SMEs — custom builds, AI chat, SEO blog generation, payment workflows. Half of our internal work runs through Claude Code, GA4 APIs, and Cloud Functions. You'll grow technically by osmosis.

03

WhatsApp culture, no theater

Internal updates happen on WhatsApp. Status meetings are 15 minutes, max once a week. No slide decks for internal use, ever. You'll spend your day on the work, not in meetings about the work.

04

Compounding, not chasing

We don't run growth-at-all-costs. Every client we sign, we keep. Every process we build, we automate. Your job gets easier over time as the systems get smarter — that's why we hire for taste, not headcount.

The hiring process

Four steps. Roughly two weeks.

No assessment centres, no panel interviews with 8 people, no take-home that takes a weekend. We respect your time because we'd want you to respect ours.

Founder call

Day 1–4 · 30 min

Video or in-person. We'll ask what you've shipped, what you'd do differently, and what you want from this role. You ask us anything.

Paid trial task

Day 5–10 · 4 hours

Real work, scoped to about half a day. It's a paid task, regardless of outcome. You see how we operate; we see how you think.

Offer or no

Day 11–14

Decision within 48 hours of the trial. If yes, written offer. If no, you get a real explanation, not "we went with another candidate."

Common questions

Before you apply.

The questions applicants ask us most often, with honest answers.

Sales role — how does the commission structure work?

One hundred percent commission, paid monthly via your invoice to us, calculated on Aphyx-net revenue — the portion Aphyx actually keeps after pass-through ad spend (website and SEO fees count in full; managed Google Ads counts only on our service margin).

Two parts: a one-time bonus on the customer's month-1 invoice, then a recurring share from month 2 onwards for as long as the client stays. The recurring rate uplifts once you pass the Aphyx Certification Exam (ACE).

No quota, no cap, no draw, no clawback on customer-side cancellations. Sales Exec is engaged as an independent contractor, not an employee: no CPF, no paid leave, no sick leave, no fixed hours, fully remote, BYOD. You invoice us monthly for commission earned and handle your own tax + statutory contributions as self-employed. Every dollar of your take-home comes from the deals you close and the book you build.

Specific rates, worked examples, and realistic ramp expectations are shared on the founder call — we'd rather walk you through them than leave them in a public page.

What's the work arrangement for each role?

Marketing Executive is full-time hybrid: two days in the Bendemeer Road office (typically Tuesday and Thursday), three days from anywhere, with core overlap hours 10:00 to 16:00 SG time. CPF, leave, laptop, all the usual.

Sales Executive is a fully-remote independent contractor: no office attendance required, no fixed hours, you set your own schedule. We don't track your time — we just see closed deals in the admin pipeline. Both roles require Singapore work eligibility.

What's the team like?

Small and founder-led. You'll work directly with the founders on real client outcomes — no project layers, no committee approvals. Comfortable on WhatsApp, allergic to slide decks for internal updates, biased toward shipping over planning.

Do I need agency experience?

Not specifically. We've hired strong people from F&B, SaaS, and in-house brand teams. What matters is that you can hold a real conversation with a Singapore SME owner, that you write clearly, and that you've shipped something measurable in the past two years — paid campaign, content series, sales target, anything.

Is this a remote role for non-Singapore applicants?

No. Both roles require Singapore work eligibility (citizen, PR, or existing LTVP / EP). Our clients are Singapore SMEs and a lot of the work needs in-person trust-building.

When will I hear back?

Within four working hours during SG business hours. We reply to every application — including no's. If you've pinged us on WhatsApp, expect us there first.

What if I'm interested but the role isn't a perfect fit?

Apply anyway and tell us what you'd want to do instead. We're a small team and the next two roles after these will probably be senior versions of the same. If you're closer to that, we'd rather know now.

Think you're a fit?

The form takes 60 seconds. WhatsApp takes 30. Either way, you'll hear back within 4 working hours during SG business hours.
