Identity System

Logo &
Brand Identity

The visual marks and typographic system that form
the foundation of the OCHRE brand.

01 — Primary Wordmark

The Wordmark

The OCHRE wordmark is set in a high-contrast Didone serif. Its fine hairline strokes and authoritative thick stems create a visual tension that reflects the brand's core polarity — the raw and the refined. It should never be distorted, outlined, or set in a style other than its defined weights.

02 — Symbol & Monogram

The Monogram

For applications requiring a compact mark — favicon, wax seal, embossing — a single-letter monogram "O" is used. The lettering is derived directly from the wordmark, maintaining the same stroke contrast and optical weight.

03 — Generated Identity

Wordmark in Context

The generated logo lockup shown below demonstrates the wordmark as produced by the brand's visual identity. This serves as the reference for all physical and digital reproductions.

04 — Typographic Identity

Typography

Two typefaces form the OCHRE type system. Cormorant Garamond carries all display and headline weight. Inter governs all functional and navigational text. Together, they establish a clear hierarchy between the expressive and the precise.

05 — Colour Identity

The Palette

The OCHRE palette draws from raw, unprocessed earth. Each swatch has a defined role — background, text, or accent — and should never be substituted. Colour usage outside these definitions dilutes brand clarity.

06 — Clear Space & Minimum Size

Spacing & Scale

The wordmark requires a protected clear space equal to the cap-height of the "O" on all sides. At digital scale, the minimum width for the wordmark is 120px. Below this threshold, use the monogram "O" instead.
