SEO Packages in Singapore: What's Actually Inside

A package worth paying for has four layers: content built as pillar-and-cluster with real bylines and FAQ schema, technical work on Core Web Vitals and crawl errors, measurement that shows how much of the published work Google actually indexed and which positions moved, and increasingly a GEO layer that tracks whether AI engines mention you. Most cheap packages sell only the first layer, thinly. Here is how to read a quote, plus a checker that scores yours.

What should an SEO package include?

Strip the branding from any quote and it should still answer four questions: what gets made, what gets fixed, what gets measured, and whether any of it reaches the AI engines people now ask for recommendations. Here is what each layer looks like when it is real.

1 · Content

What gets made
  • A pillar-and-cluster plan, not a flat stream of posts
  • Real author bylines on every article
  • FAQ schema so rich results and AI engines can read the answers

2 · Technical

What gets fixed
  • Core Web Vitals: test any page free at PageSpeed Insights
  • Crawl errors and the sitemap kept clean
  • Broken links and duplicate pages caught early

3 · Measurement

What gets proven
  • Indexed-versus-published counts every month
  • Position changes with what-we-changed notes
  • You keep owner access to Google Search Console

4 · GEO

Where search is going
  • Structure and schema that AI engines can quote
  • Tracking whether ChatGPT and Gemini mention you
  • Still rare in cheap packages, so ask for it

The measurement layer is what separates real operators from content mills. An article Google never indexes delivers nothing, no matter how nice it reads. If the monthly report cannot say "12 published, 11 indexed" and show which rankings moved after which change, nobody is checking whether the work exists in Google at all.

What are the red flags in an SEO package?

Four things in a quote should make you slow down:

If a report cannot say how many of the articles Google indexed, you are not buying SEO. You are buying documents.

How many articles a month do you actually need?

Our honest answer, as an agency that sells one of these packages: 2–4 good articles a month beat 20 thin ones for almost every Singapore SME. Volume above that only makes sense in genuinely content-rich niches (recipe sites, travel, catalogues with hundreds of products) where there really are that many questions to answer.

Our own Professional plan includes 4 SEO + GEO articles a month, published as 1 pillar and 3 cluster pieces, each with a byline, FAQ schema and an indexation check. That number is deliberate. It is the most we can research properly at the price, and the least that builds a topic cluster at a useful pace.

Whether the price on your quote is fair is a separate question, and we broke down the going rates in what SEO should actually cost in Singapore. The package is also only half the decision; the people running it are the other half, covered in our guide to choosing an SEO agency. Questions owners ask about SEO packages

What should an SEO package include?

Four layers. Content planned as pillar-and-cluster with named bylines and FAQ schema; technical work covering Core Web Vitals, crawl errors and sitemaps; measurement that reports indexed-versus-published counts and real position changes with notes on what was changed; and a GEO layer that tracks how AI engines cite you. A quote that only lists an article count is a content subscription, not an SEO package.

How many articles a month is right?

For almost every Singapore SME, 2–4 well-researched articles a month beat 20 thin ones. That is our view from running client programmes, not a universal law. Higher volume only pays off in genuinely content-rich niches such as recipes, travel or large product catalogues, where there are truly hundreds of questions worth answering.

Are SEO packages under S$300 a month worth it?

Sometimes, and it depends entirely on what is inside. At that price the honest floor is a small number of properly researched articles or focused technical fixes, plus a report you can verify. What S$300 cannot buy is volume, links and guarantees together; if a quote promises all three at that price, something in it is fake.

What is pillar-and-cluster content in one line?

One deep guide (the pillar) covers a topic broadly, and shorter articles (the clusters) each answer one specific question around it, all linking to each other, so Google and AI engines read your site as an authority on the whole topic rather than a pile of unrelated posts.

How do I verify the SEO work actually happened?

Keep owner access to your own Google Search Console and check three things: how many of the published articles Google indexed, whether positions actually moved, and whether the report names what was changed each month. An article that never gets indexed delivers nothing, so indexation is the first thing to check.
