Website Design Cost in Singapore (2026): Real Numbers

A basic business website in Singapore typically costs S$800–S$3,000 from a freelancer, S$1,500–S$4,000 from a template-builder agency, and S$4,000–S$15,000 or more from a custom agency. Subscription models charge S$99–S$300 a month instead of a large upfront fee. Those are typical ranges we see in Singapore quotes, not survey data. And the sticker price is only half the story: what happens after launch usually decides whether the money was well spent. Here are the numbers, plus a calculator to estimate yours.

What will you actually be quoted?

Most quotes land in one of four bands. Every figure below is a typical range we see in Singapore quotes. Any single quote can sit outside it.

Who builds itTypical rangeWhat you're paying for
FreelancerS$800–S$3,000One person designing and building, usually on a template. Cheap and quick. Support after launch depends on their availability.
Template-builder agencyS$1,500–S$4,000A small team assembling your site on Wix, Squarespace or a WordPress theme. Faster than custom, with design limited by the platform.
Custom agencyS$4,000–S$15,000+Design from scratch, custom code, project management. Page count and e-commerce push this band up quickly.
Monthly subscriptionS$99–S$300/moBuild, hosting and ongoing updates rolled into one fee. No big upfront payment. This is the model we run.

What moves a quote up or down?

Four things explain most of the gap between a S$1,500 quote and a S$15,000 one.

The cost nobody puts on the quote

Our monthly model exists because of a pattern we kept meeting: owners who paid S$3,000–S$8,000 for a decent build that then sat untouched for two years. Prices out of date, the blog dead since launch month, a contact form quietly broken. That is our observation from sales conversations, not a statistic, but we saw it often enough to build our pricing around fixing it. A stale site still costs money: hosting keeps billing, and visitors who spot wrong prices or a dead form simply leave.

The most expensive website is the one nobody touches after launch.

How does a monthly plan compare?

Our own pricing is public, so this part is fact rather than a range. Aphyx Essential is SGD 99 a month at the current early-bird rate (standard SGD 159). Professional is SGD 299 a month. Accelerator is SGD 1,590 a month and includes a SGD 700 a month managed Google Ads budget. Every plan covers the build, hosting and ongoing changes, so the after-launch problem above is handled by design. Full inclusions are on our plans page.

One question that comes up in almost every pricing conversation: can the PSG grant pay for this? The Productivity Solutions Grant covers specific pre-approved packages from pre-approved vendors only, and Aphyx is not a PSG-approved vendor. If grant eligibility matters to you, start with our PSG grant guide before you shortlist anyone.

And price is only one input. Portfolio, contract terms and who actually does the work matter just as much; our guide on how to choose a web design company in Singapore walks through all of them.

Frequently asked questions

What is the cheapest way to get a business website in Singapore?

Doing it yourself on a site builder costs the least in cash: roughly S$20–S$40 a month for the platform plus a domain. You pay in time instead. Among professional routes, the lowest quotes we see are freelancers from about S$800 and subscription plans from about S$99 a month.

Does the PSG grant cover website design?

The Productivity Solutions Grant supports specific pre-approved digital packages from pre-approved vendors, including some e-commerce website solutions. It is not a general discount on any website project. Aphyx is not a PSG-approved vendor, so our plans are not claimable under it. Our PSG grant guide explains how the scheme works.

Is a monthly subscription better than a one-time build?

It depends on cash flow and how often the site needs to change. A one-time build suits owners with upfront budget and a maintenance plan. A subscription spreads the cost and includes updates. Compare the two-year total of each option rather than the first invoice; that is where the difference shows.

What does website maintenance include?

At minimum: software and security updates, backups, uptime monitoring, and small content changes such as prices, photos and opening hours. Good retainers also cover speed and search checks. Standalone maintenance typically runs S$80–S$250 a month in the quotes we see; subscription plans usually fold it into the monthly fee.

Are there hidden costs in a website project?

The common surprises are the domain (around S$15–S$60 a year), hosting (S$100–S$400 a year if billed separately), copywriting, stock photos and business email. Ask whether each one is in the quote before you sign. Subscription plans normally bundle them, but confirm it in writing either way. These are typical ranges we see, not fixed prices.
